Second Treasure Valley Theater Offers Private Screenings
For those of you who are continuing to experience a roller coaster of emotions when it comes to Idaho's current position in the COVID-19 pandemic, this might be a way for you to blow off a little steam.
How many of you have built yourself a little "quaran-team" over the last couple of months? After being isolated from your friends during Idaho's "Stay Home" order, you started to responsibly widen your social circle to a handful of friends that you trusted to make responsible decisions about COVID-19 safety. You're not ready for huge crowds, but you feel safe hanging out with these friends.
I certainly have. My little group consists primarily of very close friends and a cool girl gang that assembled when we brought some new co-workers on board at our sister stations. While we've enjoyed hanging out in a safe, socially distant corner of the pool deck at my apartment, we're kind of desperate to do something else together. So we tossed around the idea of doing a private movie screening together.
There's not quite enough of us to fill a guest list of 20 that gives you the best price for a screening at the Majestic, so we're THRILLED that when Village Cinemas re-opens this weekend they're offering a similar experience!
- Up to 16 Guests: $80 for classic movie, $160 for a new release
- Up to 21 Guests: $105 for classic movie, $210 for a new release
- Up to 24 Guests: $120 for classic movie, $240 for a new release
- Up to 25 Guests: $125 for classic movie, $250 for a new release
Maybe for you it's not the price, but the movie selection. Here's a look at the movies that will be showing at Village Cinemas for the next week:
- Words on Bathroom Walls
- The Tax Collector
- Black Panther
- Inside Out
- Kung Fu Panda
- The Goonies
- Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
- The Empire Strikes Back
