You Can Now Rent A Majestic Cinemas Theater for You and 19 Friends

Let's be honest. 2020 is an absolute dumpster fire. It really hasn't given us anything to be excited about, unless you've always had the dream of owning your own private movie theater! 

A couple weeks ago, we noticed that a handful of Cinemark theaters were offering movie fans the opportunity to host a Private Watch Party for up to 20 close friends in one of their opportunities. The page listing the theaters promised guests that more theaters would be added soon. We crossed our fingers that Cinemark's Meridian theater, The Majestic, would be added to the list. Well, it turns out our wish has been granted!

The Majestic is offering the Private Watch Party experience August 14-16 and August 21-24. During the first weekend, all the movies are throwback movies and the watch parties are $99. If you can fill your guest list of 20, that breaks down to just $4.95 a ticket.

New releases Unhinged and Words on Bathroom Walls are also included in the movies you can pick from. Those watch parties are a little pricier at $149. If you can fill your guest list, that breaks down to $7.45 a ticket.

The movie choices vary by day, but some of the titles you can choose from are:

• Goonies
• Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
• Despicable Me
• The Greatest Showman
• Jumanji: Next Level
• Raiders of the Lost Ark
• The Empire Strikes
• Marvel's The Avengers
• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows II
• Inception
• Sonic the Hedgehog
• Bloodshot

In addition to the movie, you also get access to insanely discounted prices at concessions including $5 large popcorn, $3.50 large fountain drinks or ICEEs and $2.50 candy.

By the way, Cinemark does require masks while guests are not eating or drinking their concessions. Technically, you already should be following that guideline under the Central District Health Mandate for Ada County.
