A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Patrick

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. This year's first wish went to Boise dad, Patrick.

Nominated by his girlfriend, Jeri, Patrick hasn't felt the Christmas spirit in nearly a decade and understandably so.  10 years ago this week, Patrick lost his 8 year-old son in an accident involving a distracted driver.  That really impacted how he felt about Christmas.

Patrick now how a beautiful 4 year-old daughter who's really excited about the holiday.  The family just moved back to the Treasure Valley and either sold or got rid of a lot of their belongings to make the move in a small car.  He was lucky enough to get a job three days after the move and has been supporting his daughter on a single income.

We sent our head elf, Jeff Connell, to surprise Patrick with a little Christmas cheer this morning.  Check out the surprise in the video above! (Click the play button where you see the little birdies to hear it!)
