LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our 13th Christmas wish went to January, a single mom of four.

I've always believed that there are a few different breeds of everyday superheroes among us: teachers and single moms being among them.  Melissa's friend, January, is a little Column A and a little Column B. January's a special education teacher's aide in the Middleton School District and is a single mom of four children of her own.

When she got divorced, she lost her home and is starting over with her kids in an apartment that's a little too close for comfort.  While her job is rewarding, the take home pay makes finances in the home tight and she's always looking for ways to pay rent and other bills for the family.  Melissa tells us that January's the type of mom who'll give anything to make sure her kids have haircuts, clothes, shoes...anything they need.  She always takes care of herself last.

Melissa hoped that we could give January a reason to smile this Christmas and take a bit of the burden off her as she tries to put together a Christmas for her teen boys and elementary school aged little girls.  We piked Jeff Connell into the Team Subaru of Nampa Forester Delivery Sleigh and made it happen! We dropped off a $200 gift card for presents for the kids, Ultimate Unlimited VIP passes for Wahooz/Pinz, Winter Garden aGlow tickets and dinner from Smokey Mountain Pizzeria Grill to make the holidays a little brighter for the whole family.  We also made sure to throw in a Kohl's card for January to treat herself with since she's always thinking of the kids first.  She deserves to exhale and buy something for herself.
