The Sun Valley film festival is coming up next March, and Gwyneth Paltrow will be in Idaho to get a big award during the four-day run.

And if you're a budding filmmaker, there's still time to submit your movie for some screen time too.

I have so much respect for Gwyneth.  She's one of those A-list stars that seems to pretty quietly accomplish a whole lot, and she has a good attitude and always picks the healthiest way to get the job done.

The Sun Valley Film Festival will honor Gwyneth Paltrow with the 2018 Vision Award to celebrate her achievements on screen and off.  In addition to all of the accolades she gets as an actor, she's a leader in health and wellness too, and she was among the first to come forward and talk about harassment by Harvey Weinstein earlier this year and call for change in the way women are treated in Hollywood.

Boise Weekly says Gwyneth will join Geena Davis, Clint Eastwood, and Oliver Stone as past Vision Award winners.  She'll be presented with the award on Saturday, March 17 at Sun Valley Resort's historic Roundhouse at Bald Mountain.

The film festival also says submissions are open now for movie makers looking for a big break.  Click HERE to have your film considered for screen time at the festival.

If you want to go watch some indie movies and maybe catch a glimpse of Gwyneth, festival passes are still available but organizers say they sell out quickly.  It's also a good time to book a place to stay at the resort lodge, or one of the other hotels close by.

The Sun Valley Film Festival runs March 14-18, 2018.
