West Junior High Brightens the Holidays for Special Caldwell Family

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union.

Miracle Marathon Day Wish #4 was a really cool moment! For the last few years, the students at West Junior High have done a wreath auction to raise money for one of our Christmas Wish family. This year we were able to connect them with Rachel's family.

Tiffany sent us a letter telling us that her friend Rachel's family going through an incredibly rough time just as the holidays were approaching. Rachel's husband has a chronic illness that he'd been managing well, but out of nowhere he experienced a blockage and had to undergo an extensive emergency surgery.

As you can imagine any medical emergency can put a strain on finances and trying to hold the family together while her husband recovers hasn't been easy on Rachel. That's why Tiffany was hoping we could put together a little something to help ease the stress the family was experiencing and help Christmas feel like a special day, instead of just another day on the calendar.

Thanks to West Junior High's hard work, we were able to do exactly that! Our elves gathered some gifts that the kids helped raise money for, piled in the Treasure Valley Subaru Delivery sleigh and dashed over to surprise Rachel and Justin.
