You Might Get a Free Taco at Taco Bell
There sure are a lot of Cubs fans around. After Chicago advanced to the World Series with the win on Saturday night, I saw jerseys at the grocery store on Sunday, and one guy even wore his Cubs jersey to church. He's an usher, and he greeted people that way.
Even if you're not a huge Cubs or Indians fan, we've all got something riding on the World Series. Free food!
The Cubs and Indians play in the first game of the World Series Tuesday night, and if one little thing happens, we can all get a free taco at Taco Bell a few days later.
Taco Bell calls it , "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco," and it's exactly what it sounds like it might be. If any player steals a base in Game 1 or Game 2 of the World Series, Taco Bell will give out a free Doritos Locos taco to anyone that wants one on Wednesday, November 2nd. If any player steals a base in Games 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7, the free Doritos Locos giveaway will happen on Thursday, November 10th.
The workers at the South Broadway Taco Bell in Boise, or West State Street might be working overtime for a few days, so don't expect a text response right away if you're friends with them.
So...Cubs or Indians? The magic seems to be with the Cubs right now, finally in the World Series for the first time since 1945. And the Cubs haven't won a championship since 1908. But go Indians too. Somebody steal a base!
