You read that right. Bogus wants you to put on your best costume and break out your skis/snowboards on Halloween! There's snow and it's waiting for you.

Last Saturday, I couldn't help but laugh when Marco came into the studio dressed like he was ready for a voyage to Antartica. We're talking big puffy jacket. Meanwhile, I was dressed in a pair of leggings and a long sleeved running top. Sure, it was chilly in the valley but no where near needing a winter coat.

Up in the mountains? Different story! The couple cold days we experienced allowed Bogus Basin to get their snow making equipment up and running. They were able to blow and push around enough snow to open a terrain park in OCTOBER!

This particular terrain park set-up is called a hike park because guests will need to hike through the snow in order to ride the terrain park features like boxes, rails and tubes. The early season fun is absolutely FREE To guests and will be open both Halloween and Sunday, November 1 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Before you make the trip up the mountain, make sure that you have your mask packed with you. It will be mandatory in all areas except when you're eating/drinking or riding socially distanced from others in the hike park. That's something to get used to because it's part of the COVID-19 safety protocols Bogus Basin will have in effect throughout the winter season this year. You can read more about their plans HERE.
