The tree is down. The lights are back in their boxes. You're still trying to figure out how to assemble some of the toys Santa brought your littles. Yes, we're into the grey, blah days of January in the Treasure Valley.

Normally, those post holiday blues don't last long because we start looking forward to McCall Winter Carnival. Unfortunately, the McCall Chamber made the difficult decision in early December to cancel the 2021 festival in the interest of public health safety. The festival typically draws thousands of visitors and while they made the decision to discourage crowds, they hope that people will still visit McCall to experience everything winter in the resort town has to offer and support local businesses.

If you are planning on making a quick trip to McCall this winter, how about adding ice bumper cars into that visit? Manchester Ice Center offers an experience similar to what you'd find at Wahooz or Pojo's but on a more slippery surface! When sessions are offered, rides last 15 minutes and begin every 20 minutes. Bumper car sessions are $9 for ages 13+ and $7 for kids 12 and under.

Right now, Manchester Ice Center is operating the bumper cars on an adjusted schedule but there are sessions happening this Saturday-Monday and then again January 29 and 30. Next month's schedule hasn't been published quite yet. When it is, you can find it by clicking HERE.

While this video isn't from Manchester Ice Center, it is the safety video they share on their website so this is the type of experience you can expect! Masks are required inside the arena for now.
