Home of One of the Best Sandwiches in America, This Boise Restaurant Is Opening New Locations
When it comes to a great lunch, nothing hits the spot quite like a good sandwich. Living in Boise, we're fortunate to not just be home to "good sandwiches," but home to one of the best sandwiches in the country!
If you ask the sandwich connoisseurs at "The Daily Meal" you don't have to leave the Treasure Valley for the best sandwich in Idaho. On their list "The Best Sandwich in Every State" the Gem State's top honor went the Peruvian at Lemon Tree Co. in Downtown Boise. The Peruvian is genoa salami, ham, applewood bacon, sausage crumbles, Monterey Jack, Peruvian sauce and Fritos served on an Acme ciabatta roll.
Is your mouth watering just thinking about it? Well, soon you'll be able to order it somewhere else other than 224 N 10th Street. At the end of January, the sandwich shop posted a construction photo on Facebook captioned "Lots of exciting things challenging this week for LT Co. but first...LUNCH!"
The Lemon Tree never followed up their "exciting things" post on Facebook, but does list their Harris Ranch location on their website. We stopped in this week and discovered that the shop did quietly open this winter.
Even More Lemon Tree Sandwiches to Come
Harris Ranch doesn't appear to be the only Southeast Boise location for the Lemon Tree. The sandwich shop also filed a building permit for 404 E Parkcener Blvd, which just so happens to be the empty Mazzah Mediterranean Grill we wrote about a few weeks ago.
As part of the remodel, they're installing a new floor, wall & ceiling finishes and a walk-in cooler. They'll be replacing the current lighting and moving some counters around. There's no construction underway at press time, but we're excited to see them join an already delicious group of restaurants including Zero Six Coffee Fix, The Griddle and The Refuge.
