Have a Beer at Bittercreek Ale House to Help Families in Need
I've always wondered what's in the "cup of cheer" in the Burl Ives Christmas classic "Holly Jolly Christmas." Is it eggnog? Is it hot cocoa? This Tuesday, it's neither!
We can't thank our friends at Lost Grove Brewing enough for hosting our "Merry Hour" at their new brewery last Tuesday night! 50% of all the proceeds they made that night will benefit LITE-FM's Christmas wish, in addition to $2 from every pint on a designated handle they've sold over the past week. We can't wait to see the final total next week!
But we're not done raising some funds through Lost Grove's "Powerful Pints" program just yet! Tonight is the big finale at Bittercreek Ale House in Downtown Boise (246 N 8th Street.) Lost Grove has donated a keg to Bittercreek and 100% of the proceeds from that tap handle sold today will benefit Christmas Wish!
Last year we were able to grant 84 wishes like making sure a single mom of three who was out of work due to a foot surgery was able to have enough money to make Christmas dinner for her kids and providing diapers and other baby supplies for a young mom who's husband passed away after being admitted to the hospital for what seemed like a common cold.
Thanks to a donation from our partners at Pioneer Federal Credit Union, we're off to a great start in 2017, but every penny helps us make things a little brighter for our neighbors experiencing hard times during the holidays. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, you know you don't want to cook dinner tonight anyway...so why not have dinner and a beer at Bittercreek tonight?
You know you want to! We'll see you there!
