A Meridian company is hosting a job fair today and tomorrow, and if you pass two quick tests, you may walk away with a job offer.

If you're looking for a side hustle, or maybe a job that works with your class schedule at Boise State, this might be for you.

CaptionCall is a phone made for people with hearing loss who have a hard time using the phone. Captions of what the other person is saying scroll while you talk so you can better understand the conversation.

The customer service center based in Meridian is hosting a job fair and hiring event today and tomorrow, and they're looking for people to start immediately for part-time positions at $11.50 per hour.

CaptionCall Job Fair and Hiring Event
Thursday, January 16, 2020
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday, January 17, 2020 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

CaptionCall is in the Silverstone Plaza Building at 3405 E. Overland Road, Ste. 200 in Meridian.

At the job fair the company says you can expect a short typing test and 30 words per minute is what they're looking for.  Also, plan on a dictation test where you'll have to listen to audio and repeat what it says into voice recognition software. If you pass both tests, an interview with a manager will follow, and they're saying you'll likely leave with a job offer.  They're offering paid training, benefits, and a "casual and low-stress environment."

Before I was on the radio, I had a phone-based customer service job and it was kind of a hoot.  I worked with great people, learned a lot, and it led to the next big thing.  So go get it!  Good luck.
