A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Vickie

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our second wish went to Super Grandma, Vickie.

Teri nominated her mom, Vickie, for a Christmas Wish because not only has Vickie been a terrific single mom to her, but has really gone above and beyond for three of her grand children.  Teri's sister was unable to care for her three autistic sons, so Vickie did what amazing grandparents do, opened her home to them.  She works hard to bring home enough money to support the family through being a certified family home, but her paycheck barely covers the basic for her, let alone her grandsons.

Due to her own health issues, Vickie sent two of the boys to a group home during the week to make sure that they're getting the proper care they deserve but always looks forward to the weekends she gets to spend with them. It crushes her that she can't do more to provide a Christmas for her grandsons so Teri (who's also a single mom on a single income) pitches in where she can.  She knew that her mom needed a little more Christmas magic to make lift her mom's spirits, so that's when she reached out to us.

Jeff Connell piled into our Team Subaru Christmas Wish Forester Delivery Sleigh and surprised Vickie with some goodies to help out with Christmas dinner and gifts for the boys!
