46 million Americans live in poverty and this town in Idaho is home to some of the poorest people in the state.

No doubt about it, life is tough. I worry about money myself all the time. The vast majority of us live paycheck to paycheck and it seems that life keeps getting more expensive even if a raise is no where to be seen in the near future.

According to a new study by MSN, Emmett is the poorest town in Idaho.

The average household income here in Idaho is $47,583 but in Emmett the average household income is just $27,722. Over a quarter of all Emmett residents live in poverty and only 16% of their residents have a bachelor's degree.

We love Emmett. It's beautiful and quaint and some of our favorite listeners come from Emmett. Did you know that they were the poorest town in our state?
