Smokey Robinson Coming to Meridian Next Saturday
How often can the Treasure Valley say that they're receiving a visit from a Motown legend?!
Over the next few weeks there are a TON of things happening at the newest Albertsons store in Meridian. During the month of December the grocery giant is hosting everything from a holiday wreath making class to a hands-on opportunity to make mozzarella with the store's cheese monger to sugar cookie tastings. All of those sound like a blast, but there's one item on their events calendar that made me do a double take to make sure I read it right!
On Saturday, December 21 the store is hosting Motown legend Smokey Robinson for a special wine signing event! According to the Facebook event page, Robinson will be in store from 5-7 p.m. signing bottles of wine from his Smokey Robinson Wine line and taking pictures with fans. The event takes place in the store's wine department.
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Robinson has been a working on his wine line since 2017. Several of the wines in his wheelhouse are named after his biggest hits and the biggest hits he wrote for other artists including the "My Girl" red wine and white wine, "Being With You" Pinot Noir and "Cruisin'" red blend.
