Pamper Your Skin With LITE-FM’s ‘Mask’-querade Party
We know that wearing masks is an easy way to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the Treasure Valley. Your soul feels good knowing you're looking out for your neighbors. But your skin? Well, it's not quite as happy!
The COVID-19 pandemic has given us all kinds of new terminology: social distancing, self-quarantine, doomscrolling...and something those of us across Ada County are definitely experiencing for the first time: maskne.
It's a fancy new slang word for the sudden breakouts and blackheads you're getting on your chin, cheeks and nose. You know, all those areas your new fancy mask is rubbing, irritating and making sweat. Your skin just feels gross, no matter how many times you wash your face.
Luckily, our friends at Silk Touch MedSpa, Laser & Lipo can help! They've got an amazing mask relief treatment. It's called an Oxygeno Charcoal Super-facial that helps purify clogged pores, clears toxins and bacteria and deeply hydrates dry, irritated skin. It's just what you need to bring your skin back to life after hours of wearing a face mask.
And you're cordially invited to give it a try with LITE-FM's virtual 'Mask'-querade Party! We're looking for folks in the Treasure Valley who have taken mask fashion to the next level. If you have a particularly creative face covering that you're wearing in public or one that really shows off your personality, we want to see it.
Submit a selfie in your mask using the form below before 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 25. Starting Monday, July 27 we'll let our LITE-FM listeners vote on the most creative mask. The beautiful face behind the most popular mask will win the Oxygeno Charcoal Super-facial (a $99 value) and a $250 gift card for a service of their choice at Silk Touch MedSpa. Two runners up will also get the opportunity to experience the mask-relief facial.
Good luck! And keep your masks family friendly. We've seen some ones that would be great for a bachelorette party...but ya know, not for your kids to see on the internet. You know what we mean.
