Mmm… Bacon and Beer Festival Coming Back to Boise!
During the pandemic events and festivals came and went but one that we are so happy is coming back and back in a big way is Boise's Bacon and Beer Festival! The event is at Expo Idaho (because it is going to be HUGE) and Sockeye Brewing is helping to put the whole thing on.
I sure hope you like bacon because each person is getting nearly a pound and a half of bacon and bacon inspired dishes to feast on. Local Restaurants & food trucks will be competing for the title of "best bacon dish!"
Now that we have talked about the bacon, what about the beer? With your ticket you will get 15 drink ticket vouchers to enjoy beers from "25 local and regional craft breweries and cideries with specialty offerings and a carefully curated beer list!"
The event is more than just eating and drinking too. There will be a live DJ and tons of fun and interactive games. Event goers will also get a commemorative 5oz Bacon & Beer Festival Glass.
A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit: Create Common Good. Here is what they do... "We aim to provide a place of safety and empowerment for those seeking a fresh start in life. Our Foodservice Training and Job Placement Program supports individuals with barriers to employment as they work to gain new skills and achieve self-sufficiency."
This is a 21 and over event with Tickets going for $45. It all goes down on Saturday, September 10th from 1pm to 5pm. Get your tickets and learn more here.
