While Governor Brad Little has announced his plan to reopen Idaho and we saw roughly 26 million people across the country file for unemploymentIdaho was one of America’s least affected states for job loss last week.  That said, unemployment claims in the state are up by over 1200% year over year.  Wallethub’s study shows that Idaho ranks the lowest of all 50 states and the District of Columbia when it comes to unemployment claims in April when compared to January.  That doesn’t mean that Idaho hasn’t been affected, it just means that Idaho has fared better than other states.  In the past four months, our unemployment is up 321%, which is a lot but not as much as Florida, who ranks number one, at 10838%.  You can read the complete study HERE.
