Idaho Makes List as One of the Highest Vaccinated States?
Idaho makes a lot of lists, and usually those lists are food or outdoors related.
Even as recently as 2021 and 2022, we’re ranked as one of the best states to live in overall, one of the safest states in America, one of the best for dating and single living, and one of the best for outdoors activities etc.
But how do we rank when it comes to COVID-19 and getting the vaccines?
According to this States Where the Most People Are Vaccinated list, “Some states are proving more effective than others in getting their residents vaccinated. Depending on the state, the share of the population that has been fully vaccinated ranges from as low as 50.3% all the way up to 80.6%.”
Well, the creators of this list would probably say Idaho is one of those troubled states not doing a great job getting their residents vaccinated … because they ranked Idaho #44, which is extremely low.
We even ranked much lower than our lovely neighbors and surrounding states (except for Wyoming).
Washington ranked #11, Oregon #16, Utah #24, Nevada #29, Montana #39, and Wyoming #50.
The list claims that only 54.2% of Idaho residents are fully vaccinated and that there have been 73.6% of the vaccine doses administered. They also share there are 24,150 COVID-19 cases for every 100,000 people.
The list claims, “Due in large part to vaccine hesitancy and resistance, millions of doses are currently sitting idle under the purview of state governments, yet to be administered.”
