Maybe it's being at the top of all these "best state, best cities, best place to move" lists, but more people are choosing to visit Idaho which is great news for our economy.

So far, this year has shown a 13% boost in tourism as tracked in lodging income across the state.  With any hotel stay or campground usage, the state collects a two-percent tax which goes into marketing to continue to grow the tourism industry in Idaho.

Of course with those hotel and campground stays, additional money is spent in local business like restaurants, grocers, gas stations, tourist attractions, and more.

Our great weather, numerous activity options, and natural beauty are the top credited factors for the growth in tourism.
