"NOOOO!" I screamed and stared directly at my computer screen, leaving my fiancé confused as all get out.

You see, there are few snack foods that I can consume an entire bag of with no regrets.  Goldfish crackers are one of them...and in the last 48 hours I single handedly killed off another bag of them.  That's why my hands were shaking when I clicked a link that read "Goldfish crackers recalled, potential Salmonella Risk." I've cheated Salmonella my entire life. I ate (er...still eat) raw cookie dough.  I owned a turtle and didn't wash my hands after playing with her.  The bacteria probably should've made me very sick at some point in my life.  But WHY, OH WHY did my favorite snack food have to end up on the recall list...TWELVE DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING?!

Luckily, my favorite flavor isn't on the recall list.  ::big sigh of relief:: According to Channel 2, Pepperidge Farm is recalling four flavors of the fishes that are so delicious. No one has  come down with an infection yet, but the company is pulling the flavors after they found out that the whey powder used to season the flavors could've been contaminated with the bacteria.

If you've recently purchased the shared the snack with your family and consumed one of these flavors, visit this link to find out how to get a reimbursement.

  • Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
  • Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion
  • Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

These flavors were distributed across the nation and it's highly likely that they ended up in Treasure Valley grocery stores.
