Boise’s Top 10 Events Taking Place This Weekend (8.18-8.20)
Living in the Treasure Valley means tons of things to discover and take part in every weekend. Beyond our incredible parks and outdoor experiences, here's a list of The Top 10 Things you might want to consider being a part of this weekend.

Comic Con Mural Unveiling
This Thursday, take a break from work to check out the unveiling of a new Comic Con inspired mural. The unveiling will take place at 11 a.m. at the Boise Main Library located at 715 S Capitol Blvd. The murals celebrate the Boise Public Library Comic Con five-year anniversary (holy cow!) and the public’s growing interest in graphic novels and comic books. It will be a fun event for the entire family!

Biggest Bounce House in the World
The Biggest Bounce House in the world is coming to the Eagle Island State Park August 18th through the 20th! This family-friendly event includes a DJ, ball pit and more!

Bug Day
Have you or the little ones ever wanted to learn about bugs? If so, this is your chance! This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the entire family can learn about the exciting world of bugs in an adventurous environment!
Guests can earn a certificate in bugology, play bug bingo, participate in Insect Olympics, catch live bugs, and meet the experts.
There will also be ladybug releases at 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Music on the Mountain
This Saturday, if you're not spending it with bugs (see above) spend it with live bands! Bogus Basin will present music, community atmosphere, food and drinks, biking, hiking and more! There will be four different bands performing throughout the day with music kicking off at 11:45 a.m.

Barbarian Brewing Downtown Taproom Grand Opening
Beer lovers, get ready! Barbarian will be hosting their opening from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be 23 beers on draft with food available out front from Wetos Locos!

20th Annual Winefest
We've realized at this point, that yes, there are plenty of drinking events taking place this eclipse weekend! If you're a wine lover however, this is an event you can't miss! The 20th Annual Winefest takes place starting 5:30 p.m. this Friday, August 18th at the Basque Block! There will be over 100 wines to taste with all guests 21+ receiving a commemorative wine glass, pintxo (appetizer) tickets, access to the many wines from all over the world as well as local favorites, and the opportunity to win some great prizes. Oinkari Basque Dancers will also be performing.
Help support the mission of the mission of the Basque Museum & Boiseko Ikastola, the only Basque language preschool in the US with this "wine-tascular" event!

The CNR is back! Get your boots on and get ready to enjoy an original rodeo as only Idaho can host!

15th Anniversary Celebration of Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial
Starting at 11:30 a.m. on August 16th, the community is invited to join a c celebration marking the 15th anniversary of the Memorial and the groundbreaking of the Marilyn Shuler Classroom for Human Rights! There will be music, performers, and food throughout the event.

Idaho Wine Run
If you like running or running towards wine, this is your event. This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the 6th Annual Idaho Wine Run will take place at Saint Chapelle Winery in Caldwell. The run will be followed by food, wine sampling and live music!

The Total Solar Eclipse
We had to save the best for last! The total solar eclipse will be taking place this Monday, but the events take place all weekend! From Bogus Basin to Camel's Back and more, there are countless opportunities to enjoy all that the eclipse has to offer!
