BMF Artist Announcement 2018
Boise Music Festival is returning for our ninth annual event from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 23rd at Expo Idaho. This is Idaho's ultimate summer party! With over fifty acts on our local stages, 45 local food booths, a carnival and more, there's something for everyone.
Of course, it wouldn't be Boise Music Festival without the main stage performers! Between shopping local vendor booths throughout the festival grounds, Instagramming your must-have local favorite dishes and supporting up-and-coming musicians, stopping by the Commerical Tire Main Stage is a must!
This year we're thrilled to announce we've expanded our main stage performances to your feedback. We heard YOUR suggestions on adding more country artists, introducing rock/folk performers, and even throwing some R&B favorites into the mix. All while keeping some pop flair of course!
With all of that in mind, here is your lineup for the 2018 Boise Music Festival, Idaho's largest one-day music festival!
Robin Thicke is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Best known for his worldwide hit, "Blurred Lines", Thicke has released seven studio albums, twenty-six singles, and twenty music videos.
In his fifteen-year career, Thicke is credited with hit songs including "When I Get You Alone," "Lost Without U", and "Sex Therapy". Thicke's impressive resume also includes partnering with a variety of musical influences including 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar for "Give It to U", Lil Wayne on "Pretty Lil Heart", Nicki Minaj in "Back Together", Pitbull in "Bad Man" and last year's Boise Music Festival headliner, Flo Rida, for "I Don't Like It, I Love It".
With sold-out tours, a social media following of more than 6.5 million, and YouTube views exceeding 100 million, Granger Smith has amassed a rabid audience, while building a truly groundbreaking career. Granger's current album, Remington, debuted at number one for first-week sales, and features the hit singles, "Backroad Song", "If the Boot Fits" and his current hit, "Happens Like That".
Granger’s comical country boy alter-ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., has its own fanatical following and garnered him a weekly segment called “Dip ‘Em and Pick ‘Em” on CBS Sports Network’s “Inside College Football,” in which he has appeared for the past four seasons. Granger has even been recognized by Variety for being the brainchild behind Earl Dibbles Jr. (among other character alter-egos including Donny Cowboy and Live with Lionel) and named one of their annual and lauded “10 Comics to Watch.”
Best known for their hit song, "Cool Kids", which was certified double platinum by the RIAA with over 1,200,000 sales, Echosmith has spent the past four years touring on Vans Warped Tour, opening for Twenty One Pilots and collaborating on music for Zedd's track "Illusion" off of his second studio album titled True Colors and "Flood" for The Goo Goo Dolls album, Boxes.
Echosmith is gearing up for their Inside a Dream tour, where they're currently promoting their latest single, "Over My Head".
Ronald Ray Bryant, better known as Baby Bash, has been on the charts since 2003 and has the hits to prove it. The Mexican-American rapper has released extensive singles including, "Suga Suga", "Cyclone", "Baby, I'm Back" and partnering with Paula DeAnda for "Doing Too Much".
Chances are when you're not listening to Mat Kearney on Spotify or YouTube, you are listening to him on your favorite TV shows. Kearney's music has been featured in over twenty hit shows (Laguna Beach, The Hills, Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Friday Night Lights, 30 Rock) and multiple movies.
Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals and drums), cousin Barry Knox (bass) and their best friend Josh McSwain (lead guitar), Parmalee are the quintessential American country band. Raised on a diet of Southern rock, country, and blues, they formed in 2001 as a bunch of small-town boys chasing wild weekend nights, but their talents eventually took them beyond the little cement-block barn they rehearsed in and onto country music’s biggest stages, not to mention the top of Billboard’s country chart.
More than a decade of blue-collar persistence made their 2013 breakout single, “Carolina” into a Platinum-certified #1 hit, while their debut album landed in the Top 10. Two more singles (“Close Your Eyes” and “Already Callin’ You Mine”) rose to #4 and #10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, and all the while they kept their noses to the grindstone, touring hundreds of dates a year.
Awards nominations from the Academy of Country Music and Teen Choice Awards came rolling in, and headlining tours were launched. Now with their next batch of music, they’re offering up a tribute to the place where it all began and embracing the future.
