A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Sheena

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. On Miracle Marathon Day, we visited Sheena and her very special son. 

Kasara loves her nephew, Ezekiel very much.  The eleven year-old came down with a terrible virus at the age of seven months and needed to be assisted by a feeding tube. It wasn't supposed to be a permanent solution, but here we are years later and he's still dependent on it and has many other medical problems.  He's had more than 100 surgeries in his short lifetime.

His mom, Sheena, give everything she has for her son.  He has three to four doctor's visits a week and often has to travel to out of state hospitals for his surgeries.  She's unable to work because he needs constant care. Unfortunately, the truck that she's transporting him to appointments in isn't the safest vehicle on the road. The tires are bald and with winter weather approaching, the trucks even less safe. Kasara was hoping a Christmas Wish Miracle may happen to help her sister and nephew out.

We have some friends that absolutely wanted to help so Jeff Connell got in the Team Subaru of Nampa Forester Delivery Sleigh and went to surprise Sheena, who was expecting her mom and sister to show up instead of the radio station! When we arrived, we were happy to tell her that Craig and his team at Bruneel Point S Tire & Auto wanted to replace the tires on her truck! We also know that money's tight with Ezekiel's medical bills so we also gifted the family a $200 gift card for Christmas shopping, a pizza from Papa Murphy's thanks to Pioneer Federal Credit Union and tickets for her to take Ezekiel to Winter Garden aGlow and the New Year's Eve Party at Wahooz and Pinz.
