A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Megan

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

Over the years, Denise has basically become family here at 107.9 LITE-FM and now she has some more of her actual family living in Boise. She wrote to us about her nephew and his wife Megan.

Jarin was born death and has struggled most of his life. At his last job in Reno, he was bullied for being deaf and when he spoke up to his supervisors, nothing was done to change the behavior. He and Megan had their first child on the way, so the decision to quit the job and move on was rather difficult.

With the support of his Aunt Denise, the couple took a leap of faith and relocated to Idaho where Jarin has a new job with really kind co-workers. They moved just days after their little girl was born. Moving with a newborn is tough enough, but the couple got some somewhat surprising news about their little girl not long after she was born.

Jarin and Megan though there may be a possibility that their little girl would be born deaf, but that didn't make the news any easier. Denise know that they've got a long journey ahead of them to help their little girl navigate the world as a deaf person, but also knows that the little girl has two parents who are already equipped to teach her to sign language.

It's all been a lot right before the holidays and Denise asked us if we could give them a little extra support as they try to get on their feet here in Idaho. We were happy to load up the Treasure Valley Subaru delivery sleigh and be the welcome wagon for such a deserving family!
