A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for George

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

Misty wrote to us about her new co-worker, George. George served as a special combat soldier and with personal detachment training. While serving during the war in Afghanistan, he was one of the brave service members acting as a personal bodyguard for high-ranking government officials, Afghani officials and acting generals as they made their way through dangerous corridors. George was the reason that many of these folks made it home to their families safe and sound.

After his deployment, he found out that his wife had met someone else and decided to relocate to be with that person in Boise. George couldn't imagine living so far away from his little girls, so he sold or gave away everything he owned, bought a one-way ticket to Boise and is starting over again in the Treasure Valley.

He's got a new job here with some fantastic co-workers, but things haven't been easy. His apartment is completely bare and he'll forego meals to make sure his daughters have something to eat. George was also out of work for a while while he battled a severe case of pneumonia. His co-workers really admire the type of dad and hero he is, so they reached out to us to grant a Christmas Wish for George to let him know he's not alone and never will be again.
