A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Michelle

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

Leah wrote to us about her very best friend in the world, Michelle. This year has been a tumultuous year of changes and challenges for Michelle. She walked away from a 16-year relationship with the father of her children because she no longer felt like remaining in it was the best situation for her or the kids.

When she left, she found herself in a position where she's having to completely start over. She and her boys are living with her parents and struggling to replace her sons' belongings like clothes, shoes, toys and electronics. Michelle's living paycheck-to-paycheck and working hard to pay off her debt so she can find a place of her own to call home.

She also wanted to try to keep things as normal as possible for her boys through the separation, so she's commuting from Meridian to Nampa several times a day so that they can say in the same schools and daycare that they're used to. It's an additional hardship because her vehicle has so many problems and because gas prices are so high.

It takes an incredible amount of courage to do what Michelle did to provide herself and her kids a more positive future, so we reached out to our friend Rob at Treasure Valley Subaru to see if he could help Michelle with her car trouble. Rob's quickly becoming one of our best elves because he had an amazing gift to add to what we were already surprising Michelle with!
