A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Kylee

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. This year's fifth wish went to Kylee.

As a mom, you should look forward to seeing your children's firsts like the first time your baby rolls over or the first time your toddler makes a snowman. Unfortunately, it's Kylee's mom who's experiencing a lot of these special moments rather than Kylee herself. Kylee's a single mom who's just getting back to work after giving birth to her daughter five months ago.

Her maternity leave was unpaid and she gets no financial assistance from her baby's father so she's working two full time jobs to provide for her family. Her mom, Jane, moved in with her to help care for the baby and her four year old son as much as she can.  Kylee's had to put her experience as a mother on hold in order to make ends meet and even with two jobs, she's still behind because of the astronomical price of childcare.

Jane wanted to make sure that Kylee knows how much people admire how hard she works for her kids so we sent our lead delivery elf, Jeff Connell, to surprise her with a little Christmas cheer.  Check out the surprise in the video above!
