LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union.

This Christmas Wish will go down in LITE-FM history as one of the most unconventional wishes ever.  An anonymous elf nominated Kelly, someone who could easily be considered a hero to many people in the Treasure Valley.

Kelly has battled congestive heart failure his entire life. He turned what many would consider a hardship to many into a way to spread comfort to other families. As a heart patient, Kelly is one of the coordinators for a national group called "Mended Hearts." The group works helps to educate patients and families about what life looks like after a heart related hospital stay.

Pre-pandemic, Kelly also spent time volunteering at St. Luke's Children's hospital, primarily with kids staying in the oncology rooms. People going through cancer treatment are exceptionally close to Kelly's heart as he recently lost his wife after her long cancer battle.

He was her primary caretaker for 18 months and is now facing life as a single dad of one 17 year-old son. Someone tipped his son off that we might be stopping by, so he did everything in his power to keep dad in the apartment...including helping clean the home for the first time in four months.

Despite his efforts, Kelly got hungry and was leaving to grab something to eat when he cold busted our delivery elf, Jaci and the Treasure Valley Subaru Delivery sleigh in the parking lot! The surprise was totally unconventional, but we hope this little act of kindness will help him know how much he's touched the lives of others! (Click the play below to hear it!)
