A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Jodi

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our fourth wish went to Jodi, a mom of four who's splitting her time between the hospital and home.

Nominated by her husband's cousin Nate, Jodi's been splitting her time between being at her husband's side in the ICU at St. Luke's Meridian and at home with her four children who are all under the age of 10.

Jodi's husband is only 35 years old and works for a landscaping company that's been hanging Christmas lights for their clients around the Treasure Valley.  He had a feeling something wasn't quite right the Saturday after Thanksgiving and asked his co-worker to drop him back off at their shop. What happened in their work truck was something that Brett, his co-worker and wife never saw coming.  The driver being in the right part of town at the right time was a holiday miracle and it probably saved Brett's life.

As I was typing this, we got a thank you call from Brett's co-worker, Nick.  He and Brett are normally on the same crew that day, but because Brett wasn't feeling well that morning, Nick told him to go on the other call instead of up to the house on Bogus Basin Road where they were originally scheduled to be. There was truly a Christmas angel watching out for Brett that day that put him somewhere close to the hospital and where there was actually cell phone service.
