A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Desiree

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. One of the most memorable wishes of Miracle Marathon Day went to Desiree.

When Samantha reached out to us, she knew her Christmas Wish request was a big one and thought that it might too big for us to fill.  Earlier this year her dad, Erv, was struck my a driver going 35 miles per hour while crossing the street in a crosswalk in Nampa. The family was blessed with a miracle and Erv survived the accident. Unfortunately, he now struggles with memory loss and limited mobility.

One of his biggest physical struggles is getting in and out of his wife's, Desiree, car for his physical therapy appointments. Her car is extremely low to the ground and because he uses a walker, it's difficult for him to pull himself up out of those seats. With mounting medical bills, the finances for this family are tight and they've had to put a lot of money into making the house more accessible for Erv. There's no money left over for a new vehicle.

That's where our friends from Combs Car Corral stepped in to deliver a true miracle for this family. They have two dealerships in Nampa and Boise and are passionate about paying it forward in our community.
