A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Aimee

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. This year's 12th wish went to Aimee.

Earlier this year, Aimee started experiencing pain in her hands and was having trouble swallowing. Desperate for answers, the mom of five was in and out of doctor's office after doctor's office. When one was finally able to make a diagnosis, it was devastating for the family. Aimee suffers from a condition called Systemic Sclerosis, which slowly turns her organs and joints into stone inside her body. There's no cure for the disease, so she and her husband are doing what they can do to manage her pain as the disease progresses.

While you can't tell she's suffering by looking at her the disease is really serious and unpredictable. This may be the last Christmas she has with her husband and kids (the youngest of which is just three years-old.)

If that's the case, Alexandra wanted to find a way to help Aimee's family build memories with their mom that will last for years to come.

We wanted to see that happen too. Our lead delivery elf, Jeff Connell, loaded up our Team Subaru of Nampa Ascent delivery sleigh and headed her way.  Check out the surprise in the video above! (Click the play button where you see the little birdies to hear it!)
