Check your freezer. Frozen raspberries from WinCo have been found to be contaminated with Norovirus!

This is no laughing matter. It's not like some recalls where you might find a piece of plastic in your food. Norovirus is a miserable and serious disease that causes stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and general stomach pain.

According to an article on KTVB, the recall includes WinCo brand raspberries UPC 70552-30501 with expiration date 2/13/21, lot code 4045902. The raspberries have been sold at all Idaho WinCo locations.

All such raspberries have been pulled from store shelves now, so it's ok to currently buy the frozen raspberries that are in WinCo stores, but you need to make sure to check the raspberries in your freezer.

Keep in mind that no one has reported coming down with the illness yet, and if you find you did purchase the raspberries in question you can take them back to WinCo for a full refund or they will replace your raspberries with ones that have not potentially been contaminated.

Stuff like this always gives me the heebie-jeebies. Props to WinCo though for quickly recognizing there was a problem and getting the affected raspberries of the store shelves and the knowledge out to the public.
