It's one of those images you don't forget; Table Rock, on fire.  The damage from fireworks is still obvious.  Boise's Fire Chief is "outraged" it could happen again.

Chief Dennis Doan has said that he is "outraged" following the House State Affairs Committee's 6-9 vote that would have ended a loophole for fireworks in our state, which allows residents of Idaho to purchase fireworks, but assumes they wont be set off.

The Idaho Press-Tribune quotes Doan as saying, “This summer when someone’s home burns down due to aerial fireworks you can blame the House State Affairs Committee.”

Representative Mat Erpelding of Boise had sponsored the bill that would have closed the loophole.
