It's an Idaho beer that you may be familiar with already, but starting this summer you'll have a new place to drink it with a new tap room opening up in downtown Boise.

Barbarian Brewing is based in Garden City, and the new tap room will open in Boise this summer in front of the former location of The Crux at 1022 W. Main St. in downtown Boise, according to Boise Weekly.

It sounds like it will have a rustic vibe, with weathered wood, custom tables.  The plan is to have 20-23 beer taps, local wines and cider from Meriwether Cider Company.

Barbarian Brewing may hire a few people to staff the new tap room, but with only four employees now, they want to stay small.  The company isn't even two years old yet, but they've got plans for steady growth, starting with giving craft beer fans a new spot to hang out in downtown Boise.

They've got some unique names for the beers, like Wolf Pup, Funkshine, Cry of the Blackbirds, Raise Your Horns, and Fuzzy Little Man Peach.

Barbarian Brewing says on its website they won't have food at the new location, but they are partnering with outside sources for delivery options.  The Garden City tap room will remain open too.
