If you call Nampa home and have been looking for a better deal on your day-to-day grocery shopping, a new solution is coming to your neighborhood soon.

Grocery Outlet has announced that they will open a new store in the former Boise Rescue Mission Thrift Store location at 1215 12th Ave. S.

This will be the seventh location Grocery Outlet will operate in the State of Idaho.

The Idaho Press reports that the Boise Rescue Mission Thrift Store operated for five years, but didn't generate enough sales to make a profit.  Reverend Bill Roscoe, President of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries said "the volume never got up to what it needed to be" according to the article.

In addition to sales being a challenge, rent on the building was about to increase and the Rescue Mission said that would have been even more of a challenge had they attempted to keep the location open.

The Rescue Mission has elected to relocate the Thrift Store to a smaller location in Garden City.  That store opened recently at 504 E. 45th and is opened on a limited schedule of six days a month.
