A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Tyffani

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union.

A few days ago, we were reading through our newest Christmas Wish nominations when we stumbled across a story that felt really familiar. When we read Tyffani's children's names we knew exactly why! Earlier this spring while we were out on the birthday parade circuit, we got invited to Bella's sixth birthday parade. Her daddy had just been in a motorcycle accident and the only way she'd been able to see him was over video chat.

The motorcycle community rallied together for one of the biggest parades we'd been part of. Someone also mentioned that Bella happened to be a big fan of Harley Quinn. LITE-FM happens to be very good friends with Harley, so we got her to tag along too.

Little did we know that day, that Bella's dad wasn't the only one in the family that would be facing some pretty serious medical challenges. Her mom, Tyffani, found out that she had two masses in her throat. Currently, there's no one in Idaho qualified to do the surgery required to treat the masses so she's been traveling to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City for treatment.

Tyffani's aunt Shawna doesn't know if her daughters know why mommy's gone so often, but this year has just been incredibly hard on such a sweet family. Both parents are out of work due to their medical conditions. Shawna wanted to give Tyffani, Andrew and their girls a little hope during what's been a very hard year.

We shared her nomination with a friend of the station and a very generous family chose to adopt the family and take care of their Christmas celebration this year. We loaded up Jaci in the Treasure Valley Subaru Delivery sleigh to drop off the gifts and good news! (Click play to hear the surprise!)
