Get Ready for a Wild Ride at Debut of Kuna’s New Hometown Fair
No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you! There really are carnival rides being set-up in Kuna!
Morgan M. snapped a photo of the carnival rides still packed up on their trucks on Tuesday morning, shared it in the "Kuna Must Know" Facebook group and asked "Are these carnival ides about to be set-up? What's going on?" Some people incorrectly identified the rides as being part of Kuna's long standing "Kuna Days" celebration.
Nope. Even after missing a year, Kuna is keeping Kuna Days in August. What Morgan was seeing was the set-up for the City of Kuna's first ever "Hometown Fair" happening this weekend at Bernie Fisher Park on Main Street.
The new event will include carnival rides from Rainier Amusements, a country swing dance contest and line dance lesson from Dirt Road Dancing, vendors, an antique tractor display, live music, cornhole tournament and a bonfire. The events are spread out over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The full schedule of events can be found HERE.
The Kuna Hometown Fair is just the beginning of summer fun in Kuna. The city recently announced the line-up for their "Movies on the Greenbelt" which return on June 4. They've also shared some early details about this year's "America the Beautiful" themed Kuna Days celebration happening August 6-7.
