Summer in the Treasure Valley are normally jam packed with parades, fairs, festivals and concerts. After pushing pause on many of these beloved community traditions, organizers are ready to welcome families back in 2021!

Nampa's Parade America will be one of the first major parades to return. The patriotic celebration takes place Saturday, May 15 and will begin at 12th Avenue Road and Lake Lowell Avenue at 11 a.m. Nearly 100 floats, horses, marching bands, antique cars and other entries will be part of this year's "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" parade.

Emmett is moving forward with their Cherry Festival Parade on Saturday, June 19 at 6 p.m. They're accepting entry applications for the "Cherry(sh) the Memories" themed parade through June 4.  The Cherry Festival itself take place June 16-19.

A week later, Meridian Dairy Days returns for their "LegenDAIRY" themed parade on Saturday, June 26. Participant applications are open through June 16. Dairy Days is scheduled for June 23-26.

Caldwell was one of the few cities in our area to move forward with their Fourth of July fireworks display in 2020. Now they're excited to bring back the other great patriotic events that go come with celebrating our nation's independence. That includes their parade scheduled for Saturday, July 3 at 9 a.m. The "United We Stand" themed parade will accept applications through June 15.

Not to be outdone, Melba's famous "Olde Tyme" 4th of July Parade will also return on Saturday, July 3rd. It'll begin at 10:30 a.m. This year's theme is "Land of the Free Because of the Brave".

The City of Eagle shrunk their Eagle Fun Days and eliminated their famous "Wet and Wild" parade last year, but it's back in all of it's soaking wet glory in 2021. It's scheduled to begin on Edgewood Drive at 1 p.m. on July 10. This year's theme is "Eagle Through the Decades" as Eagle celebrates it's 50th anniversary. Applications are due on June 18. Eagle Fun Days are scheduled July 9-10.

Kuna Days has picked a new theme for 2021 and the "America the Beautiful" themed weekend will include the return of their annual parade! The parade takes place on Saturday, August 7 at 10 a.m. Early applications will be accepted through June 19. You can still apply after that date, but the registration fee will go up. Kuna Days is scheduled for August 6-7.

Finally, it's obviously a drive from the Treasure Valley but the Greater Donnelly Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to move forward with this year's Huckleberry Festival. While they note that their event schedule is subject to change, the game plan is to have the Huckleberry Parade on Saturday, April 14 at noon. They are accepting entries and they're due by August 1.
