Former Journey Lead Singer Coming to Sun Valley
If you can't help but belt out "Don't Stop Believin" every time you hear it, it might be time for your to pack-up the car for a little in state vacation!
Last year, hubby and I were lucky enough to score $20 tickets to see Journey's joint tour with Def Leppard at the Ford Idaho Center. Journey’s “Greatest Hits” album was my go to soundtrack for pre-season cross country conditioning in high school, so I was stoked to see all the songs that powered me through long runs and mile repeats live. To me, it didn’t matter who was singing the songs: Arnel Pineda or Steve Perry. I just LOVE the band’s music!
If you feel the same way, then you’ve got a cool opportunity to see another one of Journey’s former lead singers perform all the songs that launched the band to superstardom in the Gem State!
Steve Augeri took over the role of Journey’s lead singer after Steve Perry announced that he was officially leaving Journey ahead of a hip replacement surgery in 1998. He remained with the band until 2006 when he left due to vocal problems that had plagued him on and off though the his final three years as lead singer.
He returned to music in 2010 and continues to perform all of Journey’s classics. You can expect to hear them all at next week’s Concert for Cancer Research at the River Run Lodge in Sun Valley! Augeri’s performance on Saturday, August 17 will benefit St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute.
Tickets start at just $30 and can be purchased online by clicking HERE!
