Thanksgiving is an awesome day for many reasons but sometimes slaving over a hot stove and being stuck in the kitchen all day is not ideal. Not to mention, the clean up. I am not the best cook - my man says otherwise but I think that is just because he is encouraging me to keep cooking. My grandmother was such a great cook that she had multiple published cookbooks out back in the day. The apple fell far from the tree in the cooking department though. Growing up my mom tried to cook but only had a few things she was actually good at cooking, chicken and enchiladas. I didn't grow up with steak and fish and bacon and burgers so I had to teach myself how to cook those things as I got older.
