The holiday travel season is off to a fairly smooth start. 

Aside from American Airlines experiencing an early morning "vendor technology issue" that resulted in the airline asking the FAA for a nationwide ground stop, things seem to be going smoothly at the Boise Airport. As of 12:00 MT on Christmas Eve, only two fights originating from the Boise airport have been delayed and there have been no cancelations.

That’s great news for folks traveling to visit friends and family across the country. But what if you’re spending Christmas in Boise but it’s not the quintessential big family celebration you see in holiday commercials and movies?
