Central District Health to Meet on Mask Order for Ada County
When Boise Mayor, Lauren McLean, made masks mandatory for both indoor and outdoor public spaces people gathered outside City Hall to protest and burn masks.
The protest had no impact and Boise's mask order has been in place since July 4. Similar rules may be coming to neighboring communities like Meridian, Eagle, Garden City and Kuna. We'll know more after Central District Health's next meeting on Tuesday afternoon at 4. If a written order does move forward, it would also likely include the potential punishments for violating the order.
We don't know if it's any indication of a potential order to come, but Central District Health did share a post on their Facebook Page today promoting Ada County Emergency Management and Community Resilience's drive-thru mask distribution event. It's scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Expo Idaho parking lot. Each family in attendance will receive a package of five masks.
