The countdown is on! Boise State Football is back in 23 days and now we know who the Broncos will face on their quest to return to the Mountain West Championship Games.

Like so many other things in 2020, the road to the conference championship game this year will look very different this year. For the first since 2013, there will be no Mountain or West divisions. In the past each division sent its team with the best conference record to the championship game. This year the two teams with the highest conference winning percentage will play for the Mountain West Championship.

Boise State will have one less conference game than many of the other teams in the Mountain West as they try to earn their place in that game. The Broncos were able to schedule their ninth consecutive showdown between non-conference foe, BYU. The teams have met a total of 10 times with Boise State leading the rivalry 7-3. They did, however lose 25-28 in Provo last October.

So what's the schedule look like? Check it out below.

2020 Boise State Football Schedule (Home Games in Bold)

  • October 24: Utah State
  • October 31: Air Force
  • November 7: BYU
  • November 14: Colorado State
  • November 21: Hawaii
  • November 28: San Jose State
  • December 5: UNLV
  • December 12: Wyoming

Will there be fans in the stands at Albertsons Stadium? That's still up in the air. With the recent rise in COVID-19 cases over the last few weeks, we've got a strong gut feeling that Central District Health will not move on their current restrictions...but we can pray for a miracle.

Fans or no fans, we're just excited to see the Broncos get back to work. And quite frankly? We won't mind watching it those late season games from the comfort of our nice warm living rooms!
