They also factor in the responses Niche users who actually live in these places report through the website’s survey.

Each place receives an “overall Niche grade” and a letter grade in the following categories: public schools, housing, good for families, jobs, cost of living, outdoor activities, crime & safety, nightlife, diversity, weather, health & fitness and commute times.
