A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Shawne

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. This year's sixth wish went to Shawne.

Shawne's friend, Maddy, thinks he's a hero. He's a single dad to two boys who both have special needs who's had a rough 2019.  He deals with a blood disease that eventually lead to him needing surgery, still isn't back at 100% and is putting off a second surgery in order to save some money for his boys.

While trying to organize his finances, he thought he'd squared away a way to delay his car payments but his transportation got repossessed.  He didn't have much choice but to ask friends for rides to his doctor's appointments and the grocery store.

Maddy says Shawne is absolutely selfless and even with everything he's going through, he's still the first to drop everything to help friends in need. She wanted him to know that his sacrifices don't go unnoticed so we sent our lead delivery elf, Jeff Connell, to surprise him with a little Christmas cheer.  Check out the surprise in the video above!
