A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Kristen

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

If there's one thing that we've learned reading through this year's nominations for LITE-FM Christmas Wish, it's that becoming a new parent during a world wide pandemic is frightening. We've seen that story come through on a handful of nominations.

For Kristen, it's not just scary, it's also pretty lonely because she's navigating the waters as a single mom of three boys. Her youngest was born this spring and has already had to have a surgery before his first birthday. He's doing well now, but Kristen needed to balance his care with helping her two older boys get through the ever changing school situation in their school district.

On top of all of that, she's an essential worker who's back on the job a full 40 hours a week after her maternity leave. It's been a lot to handle and her friend Jessica know that. Jessica and Kristen became fast friends at work after Jessica transferred here from Las Vegas. She'd do just about anything for Kristen, but needed a little help lifting her spirits this year.
