A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Evie

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

Dawn wrote us a letter about her daughter Evie and her husband, Chris. This year has been an emotional roller coaster for this family. They got married and welcomed their third child, a daughter, this year.

Sadly, the same day their daughter was born in Boise, Chris's grandma was in the hospital in Twin Falls struggling with COVID complications. His family called him and asked him to drive down to say goodbye, but between Evie being induced early and his vehicle being on its last legs, he wasn't able to make the trip. She passed away just few hours after her great-granddaughter was born. They're devastated that she'll always share a birthday, with the tragic anniversary of a death in the family.

Money's also very tight for the family. Even when both Evie and Chris are working, there's no wiggle room after the bills are paid to eat dinner out or pay for fun experiences for their kids. There's certainly no money for car payments for a newer, bigger, more reliable vehicle and that's why they're driving the ones they have, even though they're falling apart.

Dawn wasn't sure if we could help with a car, but asked in hopes that we knew someone who could. With one phone call to our friend Rob at Treasure Valley Subaru, we were able to put together a Christmas to remember for Evie and Chris!
