A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for David

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. 

Do you remember Serena? Last year, she wrote us about her dad who was battling cancer while caring for his wife who was suffering from ALS. He ultimately lost his wife to the disease and was spending his first Christmas without her and still going to radiation. It was an honor to brighten up his holiday.

This year, she wrote to us about David. David had been married for 10 years when his wife pretty abruptly told him she wanted a divorce and moved on with her life. He had to adapt to the life of being a single dad quickly and that's been a challenge. There are days where it's been really difficult to get his three kids to school and daycare and still be on time for work. He's concerned that he could lose his job if he's late too many times, meaning he'd be without a way to support his kids.

Serena told us he's an exceptional dad and works really hard. She said anything we could do to restore his hope and encouragement going into the holidays would mean the world to her, David and his family.

That's why we loaded up our delivery elf Brittiany in the Treasure Valley Subaru delivery sleigh and sent her to do!  (Click play to hear the surprise!)
