If you're a bit of a picture pack-rat, there are probably still photos on your phone from when gas was under $2 a gallon in the spring of 2020. Heck, a year ago the average gas price in Boise was $2.80.
According to AAA, the price for a gallon regular unleaded in the Boise metro is now at the highest recorded average in history. Prior to March 7, 2022, the highest recorded average was $4.13 per gallon. That record was set on July 15, 2008. On March 7, the new record was set at $4.14.
